The incident occurred Saturday evening in Hendersonville, North Carolina. CNN does not identify victims of alleged crimes unless they are charged or convicted. The six men, identified as black by CNN, were taken into custody. In a statement Sunday night, the local sheriff's office said the six suspects were driving in a vehicle with "a woman and four men" when the front car passenger, on a motorcycle, pulled up next to them. "The occupants believed they were under arrest and were handcuffed. While they were handcuffed they were asked if they were law enforcement. When they said that they were, the subjects were placed in the back of the patrol vehicle. They were transported to the Henderson County Detention Center and booked for resisting a public officer," the statement said. Read More/* * Copyright (c) 2017, 2020, Oracle and/or its affiliates. Q: How to fill empty buckets with nanopaste? I've got some images where the buckets are empty. I would like to fill them up with nanopaste in Gimp. The only "fill" tool in Gimp I could find was "Stroke". I would like to select as little as possible area in one image and fill it in just like the brush tool does. What is the best way to do this? A: In Gimp use this method: make a selection using any shape tool like polygon or polyline edit the selection shape settings and set your tolerance to something like 30 pixels or less. Fill the selection with a color that is very similar to the background color. This will fill all visible objects with the chosen color and avoid the gray area in the places you don't select. PS: I'm using Gimp 2.8. A: As @Andrey said, using a selection (by polygon) and color modelling is the way to go. If it's a bit of a special case, you can also use the gradient tool to fill empty areas. Open the gradient tool, set the color to whatever is closest to the area you want to fill, like yellow for a bucket, and the end color to be transparent. A: the Artistic Way Fill a large area by filling a very small area inside that area. Make a selection just outside the bucket. Fill the selection with a color of choice. Add another, this time a very small selection just inside the bucket. Fill the selection, moving around the bucket and selecting the parts of the bucket you want. However, if you need to show the content more precisely, this method will not work. The pre-painting Method The same as above, except the selection you use is done after the bucket. This works better if the bucket should be tinted with white, or if the bucket is made of a single color. Change the layer's fill type to Overlay Blend, and set the Mode to Screen. (If it doesn't work in Screen mode, then look for an equivalent mode, such as Multiply.) Draw the bucket you wish to paint. Fill the bucket with a color, using a brush like Gradient, Texture, or even spray paint. Change the layer's fill type to Linear Burn.
